First-Class Optics

Built with two-element multi-coated air-spaced objectives, the second element is made of the highest grade extra-low dispersion (ED) Japanese FPL-53 (Equinox 80) and FPL-51 (Equinox-66) fluorite glass. Extra-low Dispersion glass allows the optical designer to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration (false color fringing around bright objects), which results in higher resolution and superior contrast in the images. Each objective lens is finished by hand by skilled opticians and the quality of each telescope is monitored by means of a Ronchi test and an artificial star test. No effort is spared to reach optimal optical quality.

DUAL-SPEED 11:1 CRAYFORD FOCUSER - This premium focuser is truly a delight to use and makes a perfect match for these first-class telescopes. With excellent efficiency, it provides an exceptionally smooth 2-speed focusing operation with the utmost precision, with the aid of its fine-focusing facility - perfect for focusing during Astrophotograhy. A graduated scale is marked on the drawtube for fast and precise focusing with CCD or DSLR cameras. The focuser is 360° rotatable for easy framing of objects for photography.
